2003 Pioneers of Flight Homecoming, Harrison Ford / Master of Ceremonies
A centennial tribute to America's air and space pioneers
Dayton Convention Center
In deference to the traditionl annual enshrinement, the National Aviation Hall of Fame instead paused to salute their entire roster of 178 men and women enshrinees at a formal ceremony marking the most significant anniversary in the history of aviation… the Centennial Celebration of Powered Flight.
The most highly anticipated feature of the July 19th gala was the return to Dayton - the Birthplace of Aviation - the living NAHF enshrinees. Nearly two dozen enshrinees attended this unique "reunion," with actor and pilot, Harrison Ford, serving as the Master of Ceremonies.
Mitch Carley was graciously invited to several private functions relating to this once in a
lifetime ceremony, thanks to NAHF / Mike Jackson, Tara Engel & Ron Kaplan.
